Man on Bike Sparks Safety Fears in Local Area

A chilling incident unfolded on Saturday 1 June 2024, when a man on a bicycle reportedly followed a young boy walking to and from a shop on Palmerston Avenue.

The boy, unsettled by the stranger, told his parents as soon as he got home. They promptly alerted Kent Police.

Second Disturbing Encounter Near Symons Avenue

The police were contacted again on Thursday 13 June after a woman and her child were left shaken. A man they didn’t know approached them near the junction of Symons Avenue and Redvers Road.

The suspect fled on foot towards White Road and Glencoe Road before officers could intervene.

Police Hunting Slim Man in Football Shirt

  • The suspect is described as a slim, black man, around 5ft 11in tall, clean-shaven.
  • He was wearing a green and blue football shirt.
  • In one incident, he had on black jogging bottoms and black slider-style shoes.

Officers are urgently seeking to speak with this man as part of an ongoing investigation.
