Police are hunting for witnesses after a dog ran out of control in Sheerness, injuring a man and his pet.

Victim Suffered Cuts, Dog Needed Stitches

The incident happened around 5pm on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, on Scrapsgate Road, Minster on Sea. Witnesses say a dog broke free from its owner and charged at a man and his dog. The man suffered multiple cuts to his hands. Meanwhile, his dog was hurt badly enough to need stitches in its neck.

Dog Described as Border Terrier and Cockapoo Mix

The dog involved is described as a Border Terrier and Cockapoo cross. Police have carried out enquiries but need the public’s help to track down the owner.
