A home in Barking has suffered significant damage to its loft following a house fire early this morning, prompting an emergency response from the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
Fire crews were called to Kennedy Road at 7:52am after receiving reports of a fire at a two-storey terraced property. Upon arrival, firefighters found the upper part of the house ablaze, with flames spreading rapidly through the loft area.
Approximately 25 firefighters across four fire engines were dispatched to the scene, where they worked swiftly to bring the blaze under control.

Fire Under Control Within the Hour
The fire was successfully extinguished by 8:54am, after more than an hour of firefighting efforts. While no injuries have been reported, a significant portion of the loft was destroyed, and the home sustained further fire and smoke damage.
