Man Brought to Safety After Overnight Mental Health Crisis in Dagenham

A man experiencing a serious mental health crisis was safely brought to hospital following a prolonged emergency response at a residential property in Heathway, Dagenham on Friday, 13 June.

The Metropolitan Police were called at 10:01am by the London Ambulance Service after concerns were raised for the man’s welfare.

Overnight Operation Ends Safely

Emergency services remained on scene throughout the day and night, with officers working alongside mental health professionals to resolve the situation safely.

The man was eventually brought to safety at 03:22am on Saturday morning and taken to hospital for further care and support. His condition has not been publicly disclosed, but police confirmed there were no injuries reported.

Police Praise Collaborative Response

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:

“This was a delicate situation requiring careful management over many hours. We’re pleased the individual was brought to safety and is now receiving the help he needs.”

No arrests were made, and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
