At around 3.25am on Wednesday 29 November 2023, a man reportedly approached a woman in Cornwall Gardens before touching her over clothing.
The victim was able to challenge the man and he left the scene.
He is believed to have approached the woman from the direction of the seafront before the incident.
Anyone with information, or who has doorbell, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at that time, is urged to come forward.
