Two dedicated officers from the Met Police, Karen and Kerry, are embarking on a remarkable journey to raise funds for the London Retired Police Dogs Trust. Their mission is to ensure that retired police dogs receive the financial support they need for medical bills and other expenses after their years of loyal service.
Retired police dogs often face unexpected medical costs, and they don’t receive any financial support or “doggy pension.” These costs fall upon their handlers, and the London Retired Police Dogs Trust steps in to assist in these critical situations. The Trust ensures that retired K-9 officers can live their lives comfortably, even after retirement.

Karen and Kerry have personal experience with the invaluable support the charity offers. Their retired Police Dogs Roxy, Indie, and Vespa have all benefited from the charity’s assistance, covering expensive monthly medications and emergency surgeries. Now, they’re determined to give back and support this noble cause.
To raise funds for the London Retired Police Dogs Trust, Karen and Kerry have taken on the challenge of a 10km London Winter Walk. Karen was even prepared to go the extra mile with a full Marathon walk, but due to Kerry’s pending knee surgery, they settled on the 10km distance – still a significant challenge.

You can show your support and contribute to this worthy cause by sponsoring their walk. Every donation helps provide retired police dogs with the care they deserve in their retirement years. Be sure to add Gift Aid when you donate to maximize the impact of your contribution.
