A peaceful morning in Ely turned deadly after a train collided with a car at Dimmocks Cote level crossing, claiming one life.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
British Transport Police and paramedics raced to the horrific crash site just after 10am on Tuesday, March 3. Despite frantic efforts, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another suffered minor injuries.
Police Confirm Fatal Collision
“BTP were called at around 10.15am this morning to reports of a collision involving a train and a car at Dimmocks Cote level crossing in Ely. Officers responded alongside paramedics and sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene,” said a British Transport Police spokesperson.
