Detectives have launched an investigation after a teenage girl reported being raped on a footpath near a golf course in Crayford, southeast London.
Metropolitan Police were called at approximately 5:05pm on Monday, 4 August 2025, to reports of a serious sexual assault on a footpath off Perry Street, which runs along the eastern boundary of Barnehurst Golf Club.
Officers attended the scene and spoke with the victim, who is being supported by specialist officers.
No arrests have been made at this stage, and enquiries are ongoing.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“At around 17:05hrs on Monday, August 4 police responded to reports of a rape on a footpath off Perry Street, Crayford.
Officers attended the scene and spoke with the victim, a teenage girl. She continues to be supported by specialist officers.
Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
