Chief Inspector Caroline Mullen-Hurst of the local police force confirmed the tragic news, stating, “Sadly, we can confirm that three people have been fatally injured in the incident.” She extended her condolences to the families affected and issued a public appeal for assistance. We are appealing to anybody who witnessed the incident that hasn’t already spoken to officers or anybody who might have dashcam footage, to please get in touch,” she urged.

As the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision continues, police have requested that the public avoid the High Street area. The road is expected to remain closed for an extended period while officers carry out their inquiries.
