The A2 coastbound has been closed by officers from the Met Police following what is understood to be a head-on collision near to the Black Prince interchange. Emergency services were called just after 6.30 am on Saturday morning to the two-vehicle collision that was involved. The road has been closed. and traffic is being turned around and led off at the on-slip of the black prince interchange. Long queues have already developed following a serious fatal collision on the A2 as drives attempt to seek an alternative route. London Ambulance and the Met Police remain at the scene. A spokesman for national Highways said :Due to a separate incident, traffic is currently stopped on the #A2 eastbound between the #A223 and the #A2018 near #Bexley. This is approaching the full closure already in place near #Dartford for the incident which occurred earlier this morning. The Met has been approached for comment. More to follow
