London Fire Brigade U turn in rank structure
London Fire Brigade will be returning to a rank structure on 15 October 2019 – Leading Firefighters, Sub Officers, Station Officers, Station Commanders & Group Commanders. Officers, not managers. Commanding incidents, not managing them. This change brings lots of wider benefit and is welcomed by staff. Other services up and down the country are said to be watching but haven’t yet confirmed if they will be adopting the change.
