A devastating twenty-pump fire broke out at Petworth Court, Elm Road, Wembley, sparking a massive response from the London Fire Brigade. The incident unfolded today at just 5pm on January 29, 2024, leading to a chaotic scene as fire crews raced to contain the blaze.

Twenty fire engines and around 125 firefighters are responding to a flat fire on Elm Road, Wembley

Part of the building’s roof is alight. People are advised to avoid the area as crews respond. 

Two of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders are being used as a water tower to help extinguish the fire.

Control Officers have taken eight calls reporting the fire, with the first received at 4.42pm. Firefighters from Wembley, Park Royal, Northolt and surrounding fire stations are at the scene.
