Detectives from the Metropolitan Police are urgently appealing for the public’s help in locating a missing pregnant woman who may be sleeping rough. Obdulia Gracia Medina, 39, was reported missing to Surrey Police by hospital staff on Sunday, 14 April. Given her pregnancy, there are serious concerns for her well-being and that of her unborn child.

The investigation into Obdulia’s disappearance was transferred to the Met on 1 May due to her connections to London. Detectives have been working tirelessly to find her, conducting extensive inquiries and following leads. Now, they are reaching out to the community for assistance.

  • Subsequent Sighting: Later that night, walking northbound along Edgware Road at approximately 21:13

Detective Inspector Simon Beechey, who oversees policing in Westminster, emphasised the urgency of the situation: “Obdulia has been missing for almost a month. In that time, we have worked tirelessly to find her. We now appeal directly to the public to assist us in locating her. Whether she has given birth or is still pregnant, her health and that of her baby are vitally important.”

Obdulia is originally from Surrey but has recently been frequenting the Paddington and Marylebone areas. Detectives believe she may be sleeping rough, heightening their concern for her welfare.

Direct Appeal to Obdulia: Detective Inspector Beechey also addressed Obdulia directly: “If you see this message, please seek medical help or call 999 immediately. Your well-being and that of your child are our top priority.”
