A grim discovery was made in the River Roding this Tuesday afternoon when a man’s body was found floating in the water, prompting a large-scale emergency response. Metropolitan Police, alongside fire brigade units, paramedics, HART (Hazardous Area Response Teams), and marine policing units, were scrambled to a section of the river in East London just after 1 pm following reports of the body.

Specialist teams, donned in dry suits and using recovery poles, were deployed in a meticulous effort to retrieve the man from the river. Despite the swift and coordinated efforts of the paramedics and police on the scene, the man was pronounced dead.
