Missing Children from Thorpe Park Found Safe and Well in London

The three children who went missing from Thorpe Park in Chertsey yesterday afternoon have been found “safe and well” in London, according to police.

Khandi, 14, Amelia, 9, and Malik, 7, were reported missing just after 7 PM on June 17. The children, who are all known to each other, had been on a planned day out at Thorpe Park, having travelled to Surrey from Milton Keynes. Amelia and Malik are related.

They were last seen walking away from the park towards Chertsey town centre at around 3:17 PM. Concerns grew as the children remained missing overnight.

North Surrey Detective Superintendent Trevor Struthers expressed relief and gratitude following their safe recovery: “We appreciate the concern that this incident caused, especially given the children’s ages and the fact that they were missing overnight. Our officers and staff have worked tirelessly to locate the three of them, and we are all relieved that they have been found safe.”

He added, “We have received a huge amount of information and support from both the public and the media, and we would like to thank everyone who provided information and shared our appeal.”

The collaborative efforts of the public and law enforcement played a crucial role in ensuring the safe return of the children, bringing a positive resolution to a distressing situation.
