Police find body of missing Roy Morris from Chalfont St Peter

Police have located the body of a man yesterday (30/6) in woodland near to the A40 in Gerrards Cross in the ongoing search for Roy Morris,who had been reported missing from his home in Chalfont St Peter on 26 May. Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the body is believed to be that of Mr Morris and his next of kin have been notified and are being supported by officers at this time. The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious. Detective Sergeant Simon Reid, based at Amersham police station, said: “Our officers along with colleagues from the Oxfordshire Lowland Search & Rescue, have been conducting searches for Mr Morris for several weeks since he was reported missing. “Sadly, that search has discovered the body of a man yesterday afternoon, which is believed to be Mr Morris. “Officers from Thames Valley Police are with Mr Morris’s family and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
