Body Found in Woods Near A40 in Gerrards Cross

Police have discovered the body of a man in woodland near the A40 in Gerrards Cross. The find came yesterday (30/6) during the ongoing search for Roy Morris, who went missing from his Chalfont St Peter home on 26 May.

Believed to Be Missing Man Roy Morris

The body has yet to be formally identified, but officers believe it to be Mr Morris. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from police at this difficult time.

Death Treated as Unexplained, Not Suspicious

Detective Sergeant Simon Reid from Amersham police station said: “Our officers, alongside Oxfordshire Lowland Search & Rescue, have been searching for Mr Morris for several weeks. Sadly, that search uncovered the body of a man yesterday afternoon, believed to be Mr Morris.”

He added: “Officers from Thames Valley Police are with Mr Morris’s family and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
