A routine anti-social behaviour patrol in Byfleet has recovered a stolen Porsche Cayenne, originally reported missing in December 2024.
On Saturday, 12 April 2025, PC Lawrence was conducting patrols in car parks across Byfleet and West Byfleet, responding to community concerns about anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the area.
During the patrol, the officer spotted a Porsche Cayenne parked in a secluded section behind the Byfleet Town Hall. Suspicious of the vehicle’s location and appearance, PC Lawrence carried out a check, which revealed the car had been reported stolen last year and was still listed as outstanding.
Owner Notified, Recovery Underway
The police have confirmed that investigative opportunities are being pursued, and the rightful owner has been contacted to arrange recovery of the high-value vehicle.
A spokesperson for the local policing team said:
Thanks to the vigilance and proactive work of our officers, a valuable stolen vehicle has been located and steps are being taken to return it to its rightful owner.
Community Reassured
Residents have praised the effort, saying it reassures them that local concerns are being taken seriously.
The recovery forms part of Surrey Police’s ongoing commitment to addressing crime linked to ASB hotspots and ensuring public spaces remain safe.
Anyone with further information about the vehicle or its theft is urged to contact police via 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
