Jason Peach Jailed for Grooming and Raping 15-Year-Old

Jason Peach, 36, used a “classic grooming” tactic to abuse his 15-year-old victim after meeting him at a music gig when the boy was just 14. The former Kingston man even went as far as befriending the boy’s father and sharing beers with him.

Grooming Behind Friendly Façade

Peach used weekends between July 9 and July 24 this year to carry out the sexual abuse. Under the guise of “delivering parcels,” Peach repeatedly kissed the “extremely vulnerable” boy, convincing him he was loved and talking about “setting up home together,” prosecutor Matthew Lawson revealed.

Twisted Control: Naked Photos and Suicide Pact

The predator sent naked photos of himself to the victim but was finally exposed when his wife discovered indecent images on his phone. Despite being caught, the abuse continued after his marriage broke down.

Peach gave the boy his wedding ring with the chilling instruction to “throw it away.” He then suggested a “suicide pact,” proposing they “spend the night in a hotel room and then kill themselves.”

Police Intervene Just in Time

Police arrested Peach after swooping on the victim’s home just as the boy was about to meet him, finding razor blades in the teenager’s bag. In a victim impact statement read out in court, the boy said: “The abuse has affected me really badly and I find it really hard to sleep. I wanted to kill myself.”

The boy now fears seeing Royal Mail vans, post boxes, and post offices because they remind him of Peach. Meanwhile, the victim’s father blasted the postman, saying he “needs help and locking up.”

Peach, who had already pleaded guilty, appeared at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday facing six charges including rape and making indecent images of a child.
