Body Recovered by Bembridge Lifeboat

The RNLI Alfred Albert Williams lifeboat  from Bembridge  was launched just before 6pm today,(Sunday April 24). The lifeboat was launched at the request of Solent Coastguard following a report from the Brittany Ferry Bretagne  that a passenger had seen someone in the water about 2 miles south of Bembridge Ledge. Once on scene  at the reported location sadly  a body was recovered.  The person  was then brought back to the Lifeboat Station where it was handed over to the local Police.
