Dagenham Shed Fire Brings 40 Firefighters to Crescent Road Scene

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters responded to a fire on Crescent Road in Dagenham last night, where a blaze destroyed a single-storey wooden shed in the rear garden of a semi-detached house. One man was taken to the hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.

Firefighters managed the additional risk of four gas cylinders at the scene, cooling them to an ambient temperature as a precaution to prevent an explosion due to heat exposure.

The London Fire Brigade reported receiving around 10 calls from concerned residents about the incident. After the initial call at 7.52pm, Control Officers quickly mobilized crews from Dagenham, Ilford, Hornchurch, and Barking fire stations. Firefighters successfully brought the fire under control by 9.11pm

The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental
