Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Shepherds Bush have made two arrests

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Shepherds Bush have made two arrests. The males – aged 17 and 18 – were arrested on suspicion of the murder of Yusuf Mohamed late on Sunday, 30 June. They have been taken to south London police stations where they remain in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Rob Pack, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “I am continuing to appeal for anyone who has information regarding Yusuf’s murder to come forward and speak with us. “Last night, we made two arrests but it is vital that we piece together the minutes leading up to the fatal stabbing. Were you in the area the time? “Our investigation has established that two males ran from the scene heading in the direction of Wormholt Park before taking the underpass under the Westway towards East Acton Underground Station. “There would have been a lot of people in the area, and I would encourage anyone who is yet to come forward to do so.” Police were called to Uxbridge Road in Shepherds Bush at 9.20pm on Wednesday, 26 June. Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended. Yusuf Mohamed, 18, from the Hammersmith area was found suffering from a stab injury. Despite the efforts of attending paramedics he died at the scene a short time later. A post-mortem examination took place at Uxbridge Mortuary on 28 June and gave cause of death as a stab wound. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and speak with them. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CAD reference 8782/26June.
