A tragic accident on the North Circular has resulted in the death of a man and left several others injured, causing major disruptions in the area. The incident, which involved six vehicles, occurred near Staples Corner in Brent, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

Authorities were alerted to the collision around 3:05 pm on Friday (March 15), with reports indicating a multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound section of the A406. Among the vehicles involved were four cars, one van, and a coach.

Tragically, one of the drivers involved, a man in his 20s, sustained critical injuries and was subsequently rushed to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries. His family has been informed of the devastating news.

In addition to the fatality, nine other individuals were treated at the scene by paramedics, with four of them requiring further medical attention at a hospital. Fortunately, their injuries were reported as not life-threatening or life-changing.

The London Fire Brigade also responded to the scene, where they found one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Firefighters worked diligently to extricate the trapped individual, who was subsequently assessed by ambulance crews before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.

Authorities have appealed for anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in their ongoing investigation. They urge witnesses to contact the police at 101, quoting CAD 4423/15Mar.
