Late on Sunday evening, emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a London double deck bus and a white citeron van on Bridge Road in Erith.
Fire crews from the London Fire Brigade utilised cutting equipment to free a female who was trapped as a result of the incident.
Upon receiving the distress call, a coordinated response was initiated, with the presence of police, fire, and ambulance services, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
The immediate priority was to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved. The woman was stablished and a plan was formulated buy the incident commander to carry out a roof removal to assist with the extrication of the woman.
Road closures were promptly put in place, allowing the emergency personnel to carry out their operations efficiently and minimize any potential risks. The focus was on extricating the entrapped female from the vehicle, and the fire crews skillfully utilised cutting equipment to accomplish this task.
Once freed from the vehicle, the female was swiftly stabilised by the attending paramedics before being carefully loaded into a waiting ambulance. The London Ambulance Service is providing her with the necessary medical attention She has since been taken to hospitial.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: At 20:08hrs on Sunday, 9 July police were called to Bridge Road, Erith following reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus and a van.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.
One woman is being treated at the scene and we await an update on her injuries.
The road remains closed while the emergency services respond to the incident.
