Chaos on Cornwall’s A30 after serious two-vehicle crash – road shut westbound!

The A30 is completely closed westbound between the A395 at Launceston and the A38 at Bodmin following a major collision involving two vehicles.

All emergency services, including Devon and Cornwall Police, are scrambled to the scene. National Highways teams are also on hand to manage traffic chaos.

How to Dodge the Delay: Official Diversion Route

Follow the solid square symbol to skirt the closure:

  • Leave A30 westbound at the A395 junction near Kennards House
  • Use the roundabouts to loop back onto A30 eastbound heading towards Launceston
  • Exit again at the A388 junction at Launceston
  • Take A388 southbound towards Saltash
  • Join A38 westbound at Carkeel Roundabout
  • Carry on A38 west to Bodmin, then rejoin A30 westbound to resume your journey

Warning: Due to the serious nature of the crash, expect the A30 to remain closed all night. Avoid the area if possible and plan alternative routes now!
