Major Portsmouth Road to Remain Closed after Platform left Hanging Mid-air from Building
A lifting platform attached to the side of new tower currently under construction has become partially detached. Fire Crew where called as it was thought that the platform may fall. Council contractors Coals have closed the road as a precautionary measure. The closure is Station Street at junction with Commercial Road. Vehicles are being diverting via Isambard Brunel Road. The closure is to remain until at least Wednesday. Please avoid the area and use alternative routes. Signed diversions are in place.
