Man in 60s Dies After Brutal Assault in Wallsend
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man in his 60s died following a suspected assault in Wallsend, North Tyneside.
Early Morning Horror on Holly Avenue
Just after 5am today, emergency services were called to a home on Holly Avenue following reports of a disturbance. Officers found the victim with serious injuries consistent with an assault. Despite desperate efforts by medics, the man was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Two Arrested, Family Devastated
Two men aged 41 and 34 have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers. Authorities have asked the public to respect the family’s privacy at this difficult time.
