Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Burglary in Shootash

Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are appealing for witnesses and information after a burglary in Shootash late on the night of 10 September.

The break-in occurred between 11:45 pm on 10 September and 12:15 am on 11 September at a property on Salisbury Road. Several garden tools, including a chainsaw and a strimmer, were stolen. More alarmingly, the burglars also accessed a gun cabinet and took two legally registered shotguns and an air rifle.

Police have been conducting enquiries in the area but are now asking for the public’s assistance. They are especially keen to hear from anyone who was on the A27/Salisbury Road during the time of the incident and may have noticed any suspicious activity.

Additionally, officers are urging anyone with dashcam footage from the area during that time to come forward, as it may provide crucial information to help with the investigation.

If you have any information related to the burglary, please contact Hampshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 44240390165. Alternatively, information can be submitted online via the Hampshire Police website.
