15-Year-Old Charged After Knife Attack at Nottingham School

Panic gripped Nottingham University Academy of Science and Technology (NUAST) in Lenton after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed during school hours.

Chaos Erupts at NUAST After Stabbing

Police rushed to NUAST on Dunkirk Road at 1:36pm on Thursday, March 5, following reports of a serious stabbing. A fellow 15-year-old student was found with knife wounds and rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his injuries are not life-threatening, but he remains under medical care.

Two Knives Found, Suspect Arrested on Spot

Officers seized two knives from the scene and arrested the suspect immediately. The teen now faces charges of grievous bodily harm and two counts of possession of a knife on school property. He is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 9.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Berryman said: “This incident has understandably been deeply upsetting for students, teachers and the wider school community.”
