Shoreham lifeboat tasked to a unoccupied life raft

Shoreham RNLI all weather lifeboat launched on Friday afternoon to investigate a report of a unoccupied life raft found by another vessel six miles south west of Worthing Pier.

The lifeboat crew retrieved the life raft and carried out a search of the area.

It was later established that it had come off a fishing vessel so we returned it to the vessel east of the wind farm and proceeded back to the lifeboat station
