Commuters faced significant disruption today (September 16) after a signalling failure at Petts Wood station in southeast London caused delays of up to three hours. The issue, which began around 6pm, affected services between Petts Wood and London Victoria.

Trains running between Sevenoaks/Orpington and London were initially unable to stop at Petts Wood, causing considerable delays across the network. National Rail confirmed via social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) that the lines had reopened at around 6:45pm, but disruption is expected to continue until 9pm.
