Emergency Services Respond to Smoke Reports at Green Park Underground Station

Emergency services rushed to Green Park Underground Station in Piccadilly, central London this morning following reports of smoke issuing in the ticket hall.

The incident was first reported at 10am on Friday, May 2, prompting a swift response from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) alongside specialist operational units.

Multiple fire appliances were mobilized to the scene with London Fire Brigade personnel conducting thorough investigations into the source of the smoke.

 

 

The station’s ticket hall has been evacuated as a precaution while crews assessed the situation.

At this time, no injuries have been reported and the exact cause of the smoke remains under investigation. Transport for London (TfL) confirmed that access to Green Park Station was temporarily restricted while emergency services managed the scene.

Commuters are advised to check for travel updates before heading to Green Park, as minor disruptions to the Piccadilly, Victoria, and Jubilee lines may occur during the investigation.
