Teen stabbed in Southend

A teenager has been stabbed in Southend this afternoon. The 18-year-old victim was air lifted to hospital in a serious condition. The incident took place around South Avenue and Trinity Road at about 12:45pm. A police helicopter was also dispatched and spent a period of time searching the area according to flight radar data. Local residents report that armed police are present in the area and they are not being allowed back to their homes.
