Teenage Boy Hospitalised After Stabbing Near Beckton Bus Station in East London

A 14-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital on Monday, January 29, following a stabbing incident in a bustling area of East London.

The teenager was discovered by police officers with a stab wound near Beckton Bus Station. Swift action by the police resulted in his prompt transportation to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals determined that his injuries were not life-threatening.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The Metropolitan Police are appealing to potential witnesses to come forward and provide any information they may have regarding the stabbing.

The Met Police issued a statement saying, “An investigation is currently underway following an incident in which a teenager sustained injuries from a stabbing in Beckton. At approximately 5.50pm on Monday, January 29, officers responded to reports of a stabbing near Beckton Bus Station.”

The 14-year-old victim received immediate medical attention and was conveyed to a hospital where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening. The investigation into the matter continues, and authorities are actively seeking information from the public. Anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses relevant information is encouraged to contact the police at 101, quoting CAD 5566/29Jan.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called yesterday (29 January) at 5:51pm to reports of an incident in Woolwich Manor Way, Beckton.

“We sent some resources to the scene, including an incident response officer and an ambulance crew. We also dispatched a trauma team by car from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a teenager at the scene, before taking them to a major trauma centre.”
