Twelve Charged Following Series of Apple Store Robberies Across London

A total of twelve individuals, including eleven teenagers and one adult, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to steal after a spate of thefts targeting Apple stores across London. The incidents, which occurred over two-and-a-half weeks, involved thefts at 13 Apple stores, including multiple locations such as Regent Street, Brent Cross, and Battersea Power Station.

Charges Filed

The charges include:

  • 24 counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit theft
  • One charge of possession of a Class A drug
  • One charge of possession of a Class B drug
  • One breach of bail

The individuals charged are:

  • Three 15-year-old boys from Lambeth
  • A 17-year-old boy from Lambeth
  • A 17-year-old boy from Bromley
  • A 14-year-old boy from Croydon
  • A 13-year-old boy from Lambeth
  • A 16-year-old boy from Cambridge
  • A 13-year-old boy from Lambeth and a 14-year-old boy from Bromley, both also charged with possession of a Class B drug
  • A 17-year-old boy from Merton, charged with possession of a Class A drug
  • Layth Al-Darraji, 18, of no fixed address

All appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, 22 January.

Targeted Locations and Dates

The robberies occurred across several Apple stores, including:

  • Battersea Power Station: 19/12/2024, 01/01/2025, 03/01/2025
  • Regent Street: 20/12/2024, 21/12/2024, 26/12/2024
  • Brent Cross: 26/12/2024, 30/12/2024, 02/01/2025, 05/01/2025
  • Bromley: 27/12/2024
  • Bentalls Centre: 04/01/2025
  • Watford: 06/01/2025

Additional Arrests

One man and four boys were previously arrested on 5 January 2025 after a failed attempt to steal 50 iPhones from the Apple store in Brent Cross. They were charged with robbery and appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court. The individuals include:

  • Mycah Omo-Idahosa, 18, of Lothian Road, Lambeth
  • Two 15-year-old boys from Lambeth
  • A 14-year-old boy from Croydon
  • A 16-year-old boy from Cambridge

These individuals now face additional charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to steal.

Police Investigation

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed ongoing inquiries into the incidents, highlighting the coordinated and organized nature of the robberies. Officers commended the rapid response of law enforcement in making arrests and are working to recover stolen goods.
