Dartford Man Banned After Shocking Near-Crash on A303

Chubby Isaac, 51, from Kirby Road, Dartford, has been banned from driving for 18 months following a dangerous driving incident on September 25, 2022. The crash happened between Longbarrow roundabout and Winterbourne Stoke.

Isaac’s Dangerous Overtake Ends in Collision

Isaac hit the front of a lorry he was attempting to overtake. To avoid a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle, he veered off the road. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt.

At Salisbury Magistrates Court on Friday (6 January), Isaac was handed a community order requiring 135 hours of unpaid work. He was also slapped with a fine and nearly £200 in court costs.

Another Driver Also Guilty of Careless Driving

Bronzell Obey, 42, of Firs Lane, Potter Bar, was caught overtaking on a solid white line in a separate incident. Obey was found guilty of careless driving. He received four penalty points and a fine on his licence.

“The actions taken by these two drivers were selfish and thoughtless,” said PC Tom Webster of the Amesbury Response Team. “They endanger themselves, the occupants of the other vehicles, and the general public. It’s a miracle that nothing more serious happened.”
