A Suspected Graffiti Tagger Has Been Arrested Following Quick Work By Officers In #folkestone

Officers from the town’s Community Policing Team were on patrol on the evening of Wednesday 9 March 2022 when they saw a person spraying a wall in Dover Road. A 25-year-old man from the Folkestone area was later taken into custody on suspicion of criminal damage. Detective Inspector Sheena Barrell, of the Folkestone Community Safety Team, said: ‘Kent Police is well aware of how frustrating it is for people to see this kind of damage in the town, and the impact on residents and businesses whose properties are vandalised. ‘Officers on patrol are always on the lookout for suspicious behaviour and I am pleased that their quick actions on this occasion have led to an immediate arrest.’
