Gunshots Fired Inside Handsworth Chicken Shop in Broad Daylight
Police are hunting for witnesses after shots rang out inside a Handsworth shop yesterday evening.
Three Men Open Fire in DFC Chicken
Just before 6pm on 20 April, three men chased a group of up to six others into DFC Chicken on Rookery Road. Shots were fired inside the shop, but the trio quickly fled the scene.
No Injuries Reported, But Tensions High
The other group had left before police arrived. Thankfully, no customers or staff were hurt in the chaos. Officers believe this was a targeted clash between rival groups.
Cops Urge Locals to Come Forward
“We’re following several lines of enquiry,” said Inspector Jim Church from force CID. “Anyone with information about those involved should get in touch. Innocent people could have been caught in the crossfire.”
