Police have confirmed details around an armed raid above a Southsea pub this evening. A local builder told said Cops , “We were forced to stay in the pub, the police wouldn’t let anybody leave. I wasn’t complaining!” Police have now confirmed that armed officers rushed to the pub after a firearm was found in a guest’s room. A spokesman for Hampshire Police said, “A 24-year-old woman from Scotland has since been arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and a 21-year-old man, also from Scotland, has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm without a certificate. Officers at the scene initially remained tight-lipped as to the nature of the raid but confirmed to Spotted Portsmouth it was not connected to the attempted robbery of a Southsea jewellers this morning.
