Crash Chaos at Sheerness Aldi Car Park Sparks Fury
A nasty smash in Sheerness’ Aldi car park has residents fuming about reckless driving and poor layout. Witnesses say a speeding motorist careened into the car park, crashing head-on with another vehicle in a loud bang.
Locals Blast ‘Death Trap’ Layout and Crazy Drivers
Lynn Ellison Ivory didn’t hold back: “The layout of their car park was an accident waiting to happen. Terribly planned without safe access for pedestrians and people entering and leaving the premises.”
Mick Reddick chimed in: “People drive recklessly in there.”
Firsthand witness Georgia Cowell described the moment: “Someone was speeding going into the car park and went head-on with another vehicle.” She warned such madness is especially risky for families with children visiting the store.
Pedestrians on Edge as Visibility and Safety Take a Hit
Shoppers and staff have reported close calls, with overgrown plants blocking sightlines and making the space even more dangerous. Trisha Scott said, “You have to have eyes in the back of your head when crossing the car park.”
Calls for Action as Investigation Underway
The incident has locals demanding urgent improvements: better signage, safer layout, and tighter controls on driving behaviour inside the car park.
Aldi has yet to say if the store will stay open while the investigation continues. Kent Police have been contacted for more details on the crash.
