Detectives Are Appealing For Information Following An Arson Attack
 
Officers were called to Clark Street, Airdrie, around 11.55pm on Thursday, 7 April, 2022, following a report of a car on fire.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire safely.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon said: “We are treating the fire as deliberate and are asking anyone with any information to get in touch.

“A burgundy/red SUV and two men were seen in the area around the time and I am appealing to anyone with information about this vehicle or any other information which may assist us to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who has possible dashcam or CCTV footage that may be able to assist us with our enquiries.

Anyone with any information is asked to Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 0017 of 8 April, 2022. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
