EastEnders’ Linda Finally Faces Heartbreaking Truth About Mick Carter

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has been dealt a cruel blow in EastEnders after the police delivered devastating news about her missing husband, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer).

Mick’s Tragic Sea Disappearance Rocks Walford

Mick vanished at sea over the holidays following a brutal hit-and-run by scheming Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), who drove her car off a cliff with Linda trapped inside.

Despite his fear of water, Mick heroically saved Linda but then returned to the sea to search for her, not knowing she had already made it to safety. Sadly, he was swallowed by the rough waves and remains missing, presumed dead in the icy waters.

Linda’s Struggle and Shocking Decision to Sell The Vic

Struggling to cope, Linda briefly left Walford but upon her return found Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) had reopened The Queen Vic. After initial clashes, Alfie proved he was trying to help.

But Linda stunned everyone by announcing her plan to sell the iconic pub, explaining she can’t stay in Walford without Mick.

However, she hit a legal brick wall. A solicitor revealed Linda cannot sell The Vic without Mick’s permission, and since his body hasn’t been found, he cannot be declared legally dead. This leaves her trapped in limbo.

Heartbreaking Police Update and Community Support

Alfie organised a special birthday tribute for Mick, moving Linda deeply. But the mood darkened when the police turned up with Mick’s wallet.

“Linda burst into tears after discovering a photo of herself and Mick from their youth inside the water-damaged wallet, stunned that Mick had held on to it all these years,” a source said.

Overcome with grief, Linda collapsed on a bench, only to be comforted by Alfie and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean). They urged her to lean on loved ones during this dark time.

With her future in Walford uncertain, questions loom: Will Linda heed their advice? Can she keep The Vic? Or will she finally say goodbye to Mick and move on?

EastEnders returns to BBC One on Monday, January 23 at 7:30pm.
