Elderly Man Seriously Hurt in Reading Road North Crash
Police are hunting witnesses after a man in his 80s was badly injured in a crash with a car on Reading Road North earlier today.
Crash Called In at 9.42am
Emergency services rushed to the scene at 9.42am following reports of a collision involving a grey Smart Fortwo and a pedestrian. The elderly man suffered serious injuries and was whisked away to hospital for urgent treatment. His condition remains unknown.
Road Closed as Police Investigate
Reading Road North is shut both ways while officers probe the crash. Drivers are warned to steer clear as the closure could last several hours.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, the events leading up to it, or the aftermath. If you were in the area at the time and saw anything, please get in touch.”
Officers especially want dashcam footage from around the time of the crash to help with inquiries.
