Horrific Bali Crime Unfolds
Igor Komarov, 28, son of a notorious Ukrainian crime boss, was kidnapped in Bali this February. The kidnappers accused his dad of stealing a staggering $10 million (£7 million). Which led to a brutal ordeal – they broke Igor’s legs, cut off his fingers, tortured him, and forced him to record hostage videos exposing his family’s shady dealings.
Dismembered Body Washes Ashore
In early March, Bali police confirmed the grim news – Igor’s body parts had washed up on the beach. The gangsters executed and dismembered him in cold blood. Reports say it was Igor’s influencer girlfriend, Yeva Mishalova, who accidentally gave away their location on Instagram, blowing their cover. The true-crime channel Lazy Masquerade noted, “Anyone watching the couple knew exactly where they were.”
Yeva Breaks Silence in Emotional Video
Yeva Mishalova has finally opened up, eyes brimming with tears. She told fans (translated from Ukrainian):
“I have been in silence for a long time. I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me. I am currently going through a very difficult period. I spend most of my time either with my family or by myself. I am working with a psychologist, trying to recover, listen to myself.”
“I am cooperating with the investigation. Please do not spread rumours, do not dispel f*cking content and respect my boundaries. I’m not going back to my usual rhythm. I only mark my presence very carefully. Thank you to those who are around in a human way.”
Later, Yeva added:
“Because I can go to bed feeling like there’s no life, and then the next day I can wake up thinking I need to pull myself together. That’s why it comes in waves. Each person experiences their loss in their own way.”
Was Yeva Naive or Just Unlucky?
Sharing Instagram photos of their Bali whereabouts might have been a naïve move – if that’s what really tipped off the kidnappers. But how was she to know that Igor’s father’s enemies were holidaying on the same Indonesian island? Or worse, flew in just to get him? Accusing Yeva of setting her boyfriend up seems harsh. She’s cooperating fully with the police, and we’ll have to wait for the facts. But in this world of ruthless gangsters, justice can be elusive.
