Police Car Crashes with Elderly Driver in Hastings
Just after 5pm on Thursday, February 20, chaos hit Carlisle Parade in Hastings. A police car rushing to an emergency call smashed into a blue Vauxhall Agila.
Emergency Crews Rush to Scene
The road was quickly shut as paramedics and officers attended the crash. The Vauxhall’s driver, a 77-year-old man from Winchelsea, was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, his condition is now stable. A police officer involved also needed hospital treatment but has since been discharged.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“Shortly after 5pm on Thursday (February 20), emergency services responded to a collision in Carlisle Parade, Hastings, involving a blue Vauxhall Agila and a police car responding to an emergency call,” confirmed a Sussex Police spokeswoman.
