Cop Bottle Attack Shocks Shoreditch
Just after 10pm on Friday, July 31, a police officer on patrol near Shoreditch Underground Station was struck on the head with a bottle.
Quick Response from Police and Ambulance
Other police units rushed to the scene, joined by London Ambulance Service medics. The injured officer was treated for a head cut before being taken to hospital as a precaution.
One Arrest Made
Officers sealed off the area as a crime scene. A man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and is now in custody.

Police say enquiries are continuing as they probe the incident.
