When officers ordered the driver to stop and searched the car, he lied about who he was. But it didn’t take long for them to crack the truth. The 51-year-old was wanted for burglary offences.
Car Theft Gear and Cash Seized; Man Held in Custody
Police uncovered a stash of tools thought to be used for stealing cars, plus a large amount of cash. The money was seized and the suspect was arrested. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
Police confirmed: “Just after midnight this morning, response officers spotted a silver Ford Focus acting suspiciously in Bentley. The driver gave false details but was quickly ID’d as wanted for burglary. Equipment for car theft and significant cash were discovered during the search.”
