Crash Shuts Down Bradford Road Roundabout
A tipper lorry flipped over at the Bradford Road Roundabout on the A4 in Bathford this morning around 9.30am, causing chaos on one of Wiltshire’s busiest junctions. The driver lost control while navigating the roundabout, dumping a load of waste across the road.
No Serious Injuries, But Chaos Ensues
Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported. The driver was left shaken but unharmed. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but the roundabout remains partially blocked as police direct traffic and recovery teams clear the mess.
Traffic Disrupted, Diversions in Place
- The eastbound A4 between Bathford and Box is closed.
- Motorists are being diverted through Bathford.
- Bus operator Faresaver confirmed their 231, X31, 271, and 272 services can’t turn left towards Box at the roundabout.
- Buses are rerouted via Kingsdown, missing stops between Batheaston and Rudloe.
