Wetherspoons Brings Back Fan-Favourite Strongbow Ciders
Cheers to that! Wetherspoons has announced the return of Strongbow and Strongbow Dark Fruits to its menus nationwide. After a nearly three-year absence, pub lovers can finally get their hands on these popular ciders once again.
Why Were Strongbow Ciders Dropped?
Back in November 2021, Wetherspoons struck a massive 20-year deal with Budweiser Brewing Group, making it their primary supplier. This meant saying goodbye to Strongbow, Strongbow Dark Fruits, and John Smiths bitter. Instead, pubs served up Stowford Press Apple and Mixed Berries ciders.
Strongbow Makes Epic Comeback Following Customer Demand
But fans spoke, and Wetherspoons listened. The chain confirmed to LadBible that due to popular demand, both Strongbow originals and Strongbow Dark Fruits would return from August 2nd. While all pubs will have Strongbow Dark Fruits, most will also stock the classic Strongbow cider.
The rollout depends on when technicians install the dispensers, but Wetherspoons expect the full reintroduction by the end of August.
