Bodrul Alam Jailed for 25 Years After Brutal Stabbing Attack in Camden
Bodrul Alam, 25, from Bloomsbury, was slammed with a 25-year prison sentence at the Old Bailey on Friday, 2 August. He was found guilty of attempted murder after a shocking stabbing incident in Camden.
Shocking Attack in Camden
Police raced to a Camden address on 29 April 2023 after receiving reports that a woman had been repeatedly stabbed. Alam was soon identified as the prime suspect.
International Manhunt Ends in France
With help from international partners, cops tracked Alam to near Versailles, France. He was arrested on 19 July and flown back to the UK on 3 August to face justice.
Police Praise Bravery of Victim and Children
Detectives from Camden and Islington Community Safety Unit led the investigation, supporting the victim and her family throughout.
Detective Inspector Craig Mascall said: “This sentence sends a clear message — domestic violence will not be tolerated. Bodrul Alam is a dangerous man who must serve a long sentence. “I want to commend the victim’s bravery and the courage of her young children, whose actions saved her life. This case shows how far we will go to bring offenders to justice and protect women from violence.”
